IHATEREDSTATE
Bringing You Opinions, News And The Truth Since 2004

It is now the day after President Obama’s inauguration as the 44th president of the United States. I feel as much at peace as I have in the past ten years. I believe we have, in Barack Obama, a man that represents the complete antithesis of the Bush and Cheney administration. I think now it is time for the country to heal and I believe now it is possible and imperative that it does so.

Ever since the impeachment of Bill Clinton and the debacle that was George W. Bush's presidency I have despaired for America. It seemed that we had lost our moral compass and let political, social and religious conservatives drag us down a path of division, hatred, racism, homophobia, and intolerance towards anything that differed from their narrow views. In allowing this to happen we lost our position of respect in a world community that was in the process disregarded and alienated.

With our new president I truly believe we can recapture our former glory. I not only believe it is possible but I believe it is necessary. We must regain our stature and be the beacon of hope that we once were. We exist in a global community and it is time we learned how to play with others on this planet. If we do not we are doomed to become as extinct as a dinosaur who couldn't recognize that it was mired in a tar pit and sank hopelessly before realizing it.

With the same intensity of anger that stirred me to begin this website I now possess the same intensity of hope and inspiration. With that I will end this website. With that I thank all of you who visited here and allowed me to rant and rave and keep my sanity through the last four years. As terrible as the last 8 years have been I believe the next 8 will be equally as inspiring. I am, for the first time, in as long as I can remember, truly excited and hopeful.

Love & Peace,
David Ames

LOOKS LIKE PROGRESS TO ME...

Let's keep turning them blue!!!!
