FLIP-FLOPPER

Frist dismisses office search controversy
While House members are still angry about an FBI search of a congressman's
office, the Senate's leader says the controversy has been "pretty much put to bed."

But just a week ago...

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said that he is "very concerned"
about the incident and that Senate and House counsels will review it.

Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said he and some of his colleagues had concerns about the
search of a congressional office and would discuss the matter in the coming days.

Bill Frist told a wire service yesterday that he was “concerned” about the
constitutionality of the search and had queried the Senate legal counsel to look into it.
